Terms of Service
Who we are
InkScroll is operated by EZGames LLC ("we", "us"). By creating an account or using the app you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.
These terms take effect on 22 September 2026 and may change. We will tell you in the app when they do.
Who can use InkScroll
You must be at least 18 years old to use InkScroll. The platform permits mature artistic content, including drawn nudity, violence and gore, so it is not intended for minors.
We ask for your date of birth when you create an account to confirm this. It is stored once, is never shown to anyone, and cannot be changed afterwards.
You must give accurate account information and are responsible for everything done through your account. Tell us immediately if you believe someone else has access to it.
Your content
You keep ownership of everything you upload. Uploading does not transfer your copyright to us.
You grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, store, resize, cache and display your content for the purpose of operating the app — showing it in feeds, on your profile, and to your subscribers. That licence ends when you delete the content, except for copies already cached on a reader's device and any copies we must keep for legal reasons.
You confirm that you own the content you upload, or have permission to publish it, and that publishing it does not infringe anyone else's rights.
Content rules
Allowed: general mature content, including drawn nudity, violence and gore.
Not allowed: depictions of explicit sexual acts; any sexual content involving minors or characters presented as minors; content depicting rape or sexual violence; content that harasses, threatens or incites violence against real people; and anything unlawful.
Sexual content involving minors is reported to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) as required by US law, and the account is terminated permanently.
If you use generative AI to produce content, you must mark it using the "Made with AI" toggle. Publishing AI-generated work without disclosing it is a breach of these terms.
Content that is allowed but contains nudity or sexual material must be labelled with the "Contains nudity or sexual content" toggle when you publish it. Labelled content is hidden from everyone who has not confirmed they are 18 or over and chosen to see it. Publishing such content unlabelled is a breach of these terms, and moderators may correct the label.
We have zero tolerance for objectionable content and for abusive users. We may remove content, restrict an account, or terminate an account that breaks these rules. Where we can, we will tell you why.
Child safety
We prohibit child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE) in any form. This includes any sexual content involving minors or characters presented as minors, any grooming behaviour, and any attempt to use InkScroll to harm a child. There are no exceptions for artistic, fictional or AI-generated material.
Anyone can report such content from inside the app. On obtaining actual knowledge of child sexual abuse material we remove it, preserve it as evidence as the law requires, report it to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC), cooperate with law enforcement, and permanently terminate the account.
Our designated child safety point of contact is support@darkware.us.
Reporting and moderation
Any reader can report a comic, journal post, comment or user account from inside the app. Reports are reviewed by a person.
You can block another user from the menu on their profile. Neither of you will then see the other's content or comments, and any follows between you are removed. You can unblock them at any time.
Content removed for breaking the rules stays visible to its creator, marked as removed, so they know what happened.
If you believe your content was removed in error, contact us at support@darkware.us.
Copyright complaints
If you believe content on InkScroll infringes your copyright, send a notice to support@darkware.us identifying the work, the content you say infringes it, your contact details, and a statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is unauthorised.
We remove infringing content and terminate the accounts of repeat infringers.
Subscriptions and tips
During the current beta, subscriptions and tips are switched off in the app. This section describes how they work from the moment payments launch.
Readers can subscribe to a creator for $4.99 per month or $39.99 per year, and can send one-off tips.
Payments are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your card details.
Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. You can cancel at any time through the billing portal, reachable from a creator's profile, your Subscriptions list, or Settings. Cancelling stops future charges; it does not refund the current period.
Tips are one-off and are not refundable except at our discretion or where the law requires it.
Prices may change. We will give notice in the app before a change affects a renewal.
If you are a creator
Creators keep 70% of subscription revenue and 90% of tips. We keep the rest, out of which we pay payment processing costs.
To be paid you must complete Stripe Connect onboarding, including the identity checks Stripe requires. Until that is complete you cannot lock content behind a subscription or receive tips.
Payouts are made by Stripe on its schedule, to the bank account you provide. Payout timing is controlled by Stripe, not by us.
You are responsible for your own taxes on what you earn. Where required, tax forms are issued for US creators.
If a reader charges back or is refunded, the corresponding amount may be reversed from your balance.
If your account is terminated for breaking these terms, we may withhold payouts relating to the content that broke them.
Closing your account
You can delete your account at any time from Settings. Deletion is permanent.
Deleting removes your profile, comics, pages, journal posts and uploaded images. Comments you wrote remain as "[deleted]" placeholders so that replies underneath them still make sense.
If you have an unpaid payout balance, withdraw it before deleting. We cannot recover it afterwards.
Deleting cancels subscriptions you pay for, and subscriptions other people pay for your work.
What we do not promise
The app is provided "as is". We do not promise it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that content will always be available.
We are not responsible for content uploaded by users. Views expressed by creators are their own.
To the extent the law allows, our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.
Disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of North Carolina, United States.
